  • Able to analyze stability of slopes, comprehend lateral earth pressure theories and apply them in stability analysis of retaining walls.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and design shallow as well as deep foundations.
  • Require adequate knowledge of underground conduits and braced cuts.
  • Should be aware of ground improvement.
  • Must be familiar with the basic concepts of soil mechanics as an integral part in the knowledge of civil engineering.
