1."Fatigue of Textile and Short Fiber Reinforced Composites (Materials Science: Duability and Ageing Og Organic Composite Materials)" by Atul Jain and Valter Carvelli
“Fatigue of Textile and Short Fiber Reinforced Composites (Materials Science: Duability and Ageing Og Organic Composite Materials)” Book Review: This book covers aspects of the fatigue behavior of textile and short fiber reinforced composites. The first part is dedicated to 2D and 3D reinforced textile composites and includes a systematic description of the damage evolution for quasi-static and tensile-tensile fatigue loadings. Acoustic emissions and digital image correlation are considered in order to detect the damage modes’ initiation and development. The second part is devoted to the fatigue behavior of injection molded short fiber reinforced composites. A hybrid method is presented, which drastically reduces the amount of experimental data necessary for reliable fatigue life predictions.

2."Mechanics of Fiber and Textile Reinforced Cement Composites" by Barzin Mobasher
“Mechanics of Fiber and Textile Reinforced Cement Composites” Book Review: This book presents new opportunities for developing innovative and cost-effective materials and techniques in cement and concrete composites manufacturing, testing, and design. It explores alternative solutions using blended cements, innovative reinforcing systems, natural fibers, experimental characterization of key parameters used for design, and optimized designs. It offers mathematical models, experimental results, and computational algorithms for efficient designs with fiber and textile reinforced composite systems. It demonstrates that using a higher volume fraction of fiber systems can result in composites that are quasi-elastic plastic.

3."Textile Materials for Lightweight Constructions" by Chokri Cherif
“Textile Materials for Lightweight Constructions” Book Review: This book conveys both general and specific information on various aspects of textile engineering, ready-made technologies, and textile chemistry. It describes the entire process chain from fiber materials to various yarn constructions, 2D and 3D textile constructions, preforms, and interface layer design. In addition, the authors introduce testing methods, shaping and simulation techniques for the characterization of and structural mechanics calculations on anisotropic, textile concrete and textile membranes. It offers increasingly employed textile structures, for instance in the fields of composite technology, construction technology, security technology and membrane technology.
